During black history month we must honor the accomplishments of these women, as they are inspirations to us all. All of our honorees have faced socioeconomic barriers and stereotypes, just for being black. They have failed over and over but have accomplished great things regardless.
As Oprah Winfrey once said, “Think like a queen. A queen if not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness.”
